Redlands, LLC
As a medium size builder, Redlands offers both a design/build brand and the traditional neighborhood/model home approach. Redlands is owned by Ron and Charlie Carter. Ron Carter is a lifelong Virginian with degrees in engineering from Virginia Tech and masters in business from William and Mary. He has served as Director of Health Sciences Center at the University of Virginia for ten years and Assistant Vice President for Facilities at Carnegie Mellon University for six years. He is also a registered engineer in the State of Virginia. Charlie Carter began his career in the residential construction business in 1997 in Loudon County with the creation of Carter-Elliott, Inc. As a custom designer/builder specializing in personal service and a "Susanka" style, his company became very successful in the late 90's. In 2005, Charlie expanded into the Charlottesville area by joining the firms of Carter-Elliott and Redlands owned by his father, Ron Carter. Through the years, Redlands has built homes in many fine neighborhoods in and around Charlottesville including Glenmore, Fontana, Langford Farms, Western Ridge, West Woods, Rockbridge, Lynnwood, Dunlora, Colthurst Farms, Meriwether Hills, Lake Reynovia, Old Trail, Peacock Hill, Forest Glen and now Ragged Mountain Farm.
